2013: Thanksgiving Dinner & Clothing Drive for Homeless Veterans

US citizens take great pride in the armed services, therefore to show our appreciation, we hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for 50 families of war veterans. We helped support homeless veterans by hosting a clothing drive to provide donated clothing from the community.

2012: Grant Writing Workshop

From 2007, GHLI conducted twice a month, grant writing workshops for High School students. The workshops were designed for students to identify an issue they would like to see change in their communities and create feasible steps to address and solve the issue.

2011: A Day In the Life of a Medical Student

Global Health Linkages Inc sponsored 25 High School children to experience “A Day in the Life of a Medical Student” at George Washington University School of Medicine. The project aimed to foster and build young people’s interests in pursuing a career in healthcare.

2010: Give a Day, Get a Disney Day

As a participatory organization in the ‘Give a Day, Get a Disney Day’ campaign headed by The Walt Disney Company, we encouraged volunteers from under served communities in Maryland an opportunity to attend a Disney theme park situated across North America.
